Empowering Suswa's Community Through Computer Literacy
Innovative Partnership of MG iHub and Forum Civ
About the programme
MG Innovation Hub and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) under the Public-Private Development Partnership had the privilege to train at least 85 youths from Suswa and Rapland on Digital Marketing with the aim of achieving Outcome II (Decent jobs resulting from new and growing business-created). The training took place between 24th July and 4th August 2023.
The Target
This was an eye-opener for the Youth who are already engaging in small businesses to explore more options in the digital platform. They were able to create posters from images they captured through photography. Areas covered were Photography, Videography, Graphic Design, Creation of Facebook and WhatsApp business, and linkage with Instagram for business purposes for enhancement of overall economic growth.
A Public-Private Development Partnership (PPDP) is a collaboration between public and private entities to jointly work on development projects that can benefit the community. These partnerships leverage the strengths of both sectors – the public sector’s regulatory power and public service provision abilities, and the private sector’s efficiency and resources.”
Where is Rapland
Situated in Suswa, the RAPLAND Resource Centre offers a nurturing environment for personal and professional growth. The partnership between MG iHub and Forum Civ has generated great anticipation within the community, as this program is set to ignite positive change. By equipping participants with confidence and skills, the initiative will enhance employment prospects, encourage entrepreneurial ventures, and pave the way for a brighter future for all involved.
